For creators
You have followers but no sales. Here's what's missing.
August 18, 2026
Ten thousand followers and no income is one of the most demoralising positions in this business, partly because everyone tells you the audience is the hard part. It is not. Turning attention into a transaction is.
You have never actually asked
Creators post value for months and mention selling once, apologetically, buried in a caption. Your audience is not refusing to buy. They do not know they can.
Say what you sell, clearly and regularly. The people who find that annoying were never going to buy.
There are too many steps
Count what a follower must do to pay you. DM you, wait for a reply, get an account number, transfer, screenshot, wait for confirmation, wait for the file. That is seven steps and several hours, and most people drop out.
It should be: tap a link, pay, receive. Every step you remove is money you keep.
You are selling attention, not an outcome
"Buy my ebook" is a request for a favour. "Stop losing customers at checkout — here is exactly how" is an offer. Same product.
You have nothing to sell to the people ready to buy
In any audience a small share want to go deeper and will pay well for it. If your only product is ₦3,000, you are leaving that money entirely. A course, a consultation, a template pack — something for people who want more than a post.
The link in bio goes somewhere useless
If it goes to a page of links, most people leave before they reach anything they can buy. Send them straight to a store where everything you sell is listed and payable — that is the whole purpose of a creator store.
