About the role
As the team grows, someone has to own how it is run. That is this role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own hiring end to end: job posts, screening, interviews, offers
• Run onboarding so a new person is useful in their first week, not their fourth
• Set up performance reviews and KPIs that are actually used
• Manage staff records, contracts and leave
• Run one-to-ones and keep a real read on how people are doing
• Build the culture deliberately rather than letting it happen by accident
What we're looking for
• 3+ years in HR or people operations
• You have hired for a growing team and know how to assess someone quickly and fairly
• Familiar with Nigerian employment practice and contracts
• Discreet — you will handle salary and personal information
• Comfortable with remote-team management
NICE TO HAVE
• Startup experience
• You have set up HR processes from scratch rather than inheriting them
Qualifications
A degree or professional HR certification (CIPM, CIPD or similar) is an advantage but not a requirement.
