Getting paid: your wallet, KYC, and requesting a payout
If you're using SalesGit's own payment processing (the default — see "How payments work" in this Help Center), here's how the money actually reaches your bank account.
Your wallet
Every paid order adds its net amount (the sale total minus SalesGit's commission) to your store's wallet balance. You can see this balance at any time from your dashboard's Payment page.
Verifying your payout details (KYC)
Before your first payout, you'll need to add your bank details:
- In your dashboard's Payment page, pick your bank from the list and enter your account number.
- SalesGit automatically resolves and shows the account holder's name registered to that account — this confirms the details are correct before anything is saved, so there's no risk of typing a wrong digit and sending money to the wrong place.
- Once confirmed, your verification status updates and you're clear to request payouts.
Important: if you edit your bank details after they've already been verified, your verification status resets to pending review — this is a deliberate safeguard, not a bug.
Requesting a payout
From your dashboard's Payment page, enter an amount up to your available wallet balance and submit a payout request. Our team reviews and disburses requests — this isn't instant, but it's not something you need to chase; you'll see the request's status update once it's processed.
Why a review step?
Payout requests are checked against a few basic risk signals before disbursement, mainly to catch mistakes and protect against fraud. This is standard practice and nothing to worry about for normal store activity.
