How to become an affiliate (earn ongoing commission from referrals)
Being an affiliate on SalesGit is different from running an agent store. Instead of reselling products yourself, you get a personal referral link. Anyone who registers a SalesGit account through your link is tracked to you — and if they go on to open their own store and start selling, you earn an ongoing commission on every sale that store ever makes, not just a one-time signup bonus.
How referral links work
- Your link looks like
salesgit.com/signup?ref=YOURCODE— share it anywhere: a bio link, a video description, a blog post. - Anyone who creates a SalesGit account through that link is permanently linked to you.
- Every time a store owned by one of your referred users completes a paid order, you earn a percentage of that order automatically. It shows up in your affiliate dashboard's commission history right away.
- Your commission rate is set on your link by the SalesGit team — neither you nor the people you refer can change it. It's adjustable from our side if it's ever renegotiated, but never retroactively: a past sale always keeps the rate it was actually made at.
How to get an affiliate link
Affiliate access is granted by the SalesGit team rather than something you set up yourself — open a ticket through Contact and ask to become an affiliate. Once approved, you'll get your own affiliate dashboard showing your total referred users and your full commission history, and you can log in and check it anytime.
Agent vs. affiliate — which one is for me?
If you want to actively sell products under your own storefront, you want an agent store. If you'd rather earn passively by referring new sellers to the platform and never have to run a store yourself, you want to become an affiliate. Nothing stops you from doing both.
