How to set up event tickets
SalesGit's ticketing is built for real check-in-at-the-door events — sell tickets, collect whatever information you need from each attendee, and scan people in with your phone.
1. Create your event
From your dashboard's Events tab, create an event with its name, venue, and date. If you're setting up a new store specifically for this, the Event Hub storefront template is designed around ticket sales.
2. Add custom questions (optional)
Add custom fields to your event — text, email, phone, or a dropdown of options — for anything you need to know about each attendee (t-shirt size, dietary restrictions, which session they're attending). These appear on the checkout form for every ticket purchased.
3. Create your ticket tiers
Tickets are just products with a "ticket" type — create one or more tiers (General Admission, VIP, whatever your event needs) with their own price and stock quantity. Stock here doubles as your capacity limit, enforced automatically at checkout so you can never oversell.
4. What happens after someone buys
Each ticket purchased generates its own unique QR code, sent to the buyer on their order confirmation page — one QR code per ticket, even if someone buys three at once.
5. Checking people in at the door
From your dashboard, open the event's check-in scanner on your phone or tablet. Scanning a ticket's QR code marks it checked in immediately and clearly flags a ticket that's already been used if someone tries to scan it twice.
