How to set up your digital office (courses, ebooks & downloads)

A "creator" store is SalesGit's setup for selling digital products — courses with video lessons, ebooks, downloadable files, anything that doesn't need shipping.

1. Open a creator store

From your dashboard, open a new store and choose Creator store — I sell courses, ebooks & digital downloads as the store type.

2. Building a course

1. Create a product and mark it as a course.
2. Go into that product's Courses tab to add lessons in order. Each lesson can have a video (either uploaded directly or a YouTube link), written notes, and an optional downloadable file.
3. Mark one or two early lessons as free preview — visitors can watch these without buying, which is one of the best ways to convert browsers into buyers.
4. Choose whether a lesson's file is downloadable or stream-only.

How access is protected

Course videos and files are never publicly reachable by direct link. Access is checked at the moment someone tries to watch or download: either they're logged into an account that purchased it, or (for guest buyers) they confirm the email address they checked out with. This happens automatically — you don't need to configure anything.

Simple ebooks and downloads

If you're selling a single file rather than a full course, you can add it as one lesson on a simple product — no need to build out a full curriculum for a one-off ebook.

Promo codes

From your dashboard's Promotions tab you can create discount codes — percentage or flat amount off, limited to a specific product or store-wide, with an optional expiry date or usage cap. Great for launch discounts or rewarding repeat customers.
